Feathered Friends Forever is now the largest Bird
Rescues in America. It is located in Harlem, Ga.
Feathered Friends Forever provides a loving, life
long, care home for tropical birds. They take in all types, for any reason
the bird cannot be cared for, in any situation. Feathered Friends Forever
Rescue/Refuge, Inc. is the largest privately owned rescue/refuge in
Georgia and one of the largest in the nation. They are a 501(c) non-profit
corporation.
Feathered Friends Forever is an organization
dedicated to improving the lives of parrots, as pets. The goals of
Feathered Friends Forever are:
- To rescue abused or unwanted parrots from both
retail and private situations. For example, birds that have been given
from owner to owner because of behavioral problems.
- To act as a placement service for friendly or
tame birds whose owners have had to give up their bird's for any reason.
- To serve as an educational resource on the
care and responsibilities of owning tropical parrots as pets and advice
service for: Prospective and current bird owners, via email, schools,
and retail pet stores.
- To serve as a permanent sanctuary for birds
not suitable for adoption.
- Our long-term goals include building full
flight areas for our birds.
Feathered Friends Forever was established in 1998
because of the large number of parrots and related species that were
victims of neglect and abuse. Feathered Friends Forever was established as
a rescue service, specifically for parrots and related species
As dreams grow so have they, May 2006 they opened
an 8 acre Paradise Parrot Park open to the public. For

page. The park will be open during normal visiting hours. There is no
admission charge, but for those visiting the park donations are welcomed.
